@oldbutndy while I'll not opine on the 'funny' side (it has left me cold, but I'm a bad customer for standup artists, I find them mostly a waste of time), it's actually a good presentation, I have looked at say a dozen of UT videos and they were usually either uninformative or far outdated and this one is a decent job.

That page probably is not for what you expect. It is not really a membership registration page. You become a member of the community simply by interacting and participating. I think the page's purpose was to generate a list for a pool of volunteers and their skills in order to match them with project needs. But may I ask what you registered for? Maybe you can be pointed in the right direction to contribute by someone here.

@idonthatevests Interesting. For what it's worth, I'm very confident that mine was glitchy before I ever installed uFirefox. I did have Ambot Installer for the more limited Lomiri toolkit, but I'm not sure whether ithas anything to do with that. Mine always seems to glitch out after notification/SMS. I always kinda figured something about my install was messed up, though I did install what I thought was the appropriate firmware and do the whole MSM&EDL mode thing. I mostly ignored this issue thinking that if it only affected my phone, it's not that important. But it'd be handy if we could pin it down.

I watched it and although it was interesting, it needed a software for Java runtime which seems to be specific for SailfishOS and doesn't exists for UT. Newpipe also separates backend and frontend codes so it was easier to do. Not many apps does it the same way, sadly.

The raspi(s) would receive the OTA updates. I already looked into Mender SWUpdate, RAUC and they all seam promising. I would actually just like to know out of curiosity how UBports handles OTA updates.

@Feynt That's only odd if you believe that UBports has a plan for which devices are going to supported. And such a plan could only happen in a different kind of organisation. You should keep in mind what UBports is, or rather what we are: a community, a loosely connected group of volunteers. Whether a certain device gets ported depends on there being someone who has the skills has the time has the wish has the device. If there is no such person around, then no port is going to happen.
