Is there a camera app with burst features in the store?
or
Is it possible to install any .apk app from the many alternate stores out there?
I can only find one ubuntu brewed app (included in the OS) and it does not have that option.

If such app exists or if a .apk file is compatible, may anyone point me to it?

Thank You!

Is writing the app the only option left ?

In the past, I was asking in the UBphone mailing-list for a trick to take the picture with the camera app from the command line (to avoid the click on the screen which always moves the cam a bit and make the picture sometimes blurred). I don't tested it and I also do not know how fast the cam could act if you fire up from a shell script a batch of shoots. If you want to give it a try, I could dig into my piles of mails.

I've found the old dialogue: https://lists.launchpad.net/ubuntu-phone/msg19803.html
