I am seeking to test UT halium 12 images on my Pixel 3a XL, but before I can safely do so, I need to confirm what I know on this before I can safely flash stock Android 12. I think the Pixel 3a XL has rollback protection, and I want to make sure I am doing things correctly so that I don't brick my phone. Is it safe to be flashing different stock android versions with the bootloader unlocked? I have been and likely will continue to jump between stock android images. Except, I only have downgraded to stock android 9 from stock android 10, so I have no idea of the possible issues that come with flashing stock android 12. Basically what I am asking is would it be safe to be jumping between stock android versions like this, and could it brick my phone?

From what I know about anti rollback protection, you can downgrade or upgrade without problem if you don't relock bootloader.
