<![CDATA[Upgrade to Noble]]>First of all: Following @rubencarneiro s advice, I used the installer, not the upgrade function. Didn`t wipe personal data. The upgrade went smoothly.

Take care:
The installer incorrectly shows how to put the device into fastboot mode. The correct procedure is to press volume up, volume down, and power, all at the same time.
Ruben will correct the wrong description soon.

What doesn't work (I'm making this list because most things work, so it's shorter):
System and Systemapps:
Media playback, i.e. videos, error message: Error playing video, connection to background service for playback failed. (Is it actually a core-app? If not, sorry!)
Calendar: I'm not sure if my entries are being synchronized, I can only say tomorrow, sometimes my provider is a bit slow.

Dekko crashes when I try to open or write an email.
update15 08 2025: Dekko opening mails since todays app update
update 01 10 2025: Dekko crashing again by opening an email after todays update

document viewer not opening any documents since app update a few days ago
update 04 09 2025: document viewer works correctly since todays update to version 3.1.3!

I am experiencing heavy battery drain in general since the upgrade - any other experiences?

Overall, however, I am happy; I love the new feature that allows you to turn off rotation, but still rotate on a case-by-case basis! Thanks for that!

So it needed two attempts to get it working again. I first tried the 0.5.1 Focal for UT 24.04 which also did not work. I ended up with the one for UT 20.04 which now runs smoothly.

What still does not work is the counter of messages of the different apps in the launcher. Dekko is counted endless unless you reboot
Teleports on he other hand does not count at all. It does not notify either, nor does Cinny, nor does sms-app (which is a system app).
Another annoying but harmless issue is the time between a call an resurrection of mobile data, it takes ages compared to focal.

It might have been a mix-up on my side.
I had a test version for Noble that worked.
I installed the new release and apparently it doesn't open files.

So I guess the fixes were published for Focal and maybe another version will be required for Noble.

Of some providers I cannot receive sms, though I can send to them.
Morph shows some sites in a strange manner, with overlaping fields.
In addition, I cannot log in to some open Wi-Fi networks, e.g. WifionICE in Germany, because the browser says it is too old.

I cannot reproduce the issues I had, but at a time half of my entries where gone, and after a few minutes back again. I honestly don`t dare to touch this thing and wait for updates.
Edit: Ten minutes later everything is working. So maybe its another issue. Seems that calendar is working...
