I did install 24.04-1 from the ‘daily’ channel. The first versions were already able to supply me with the most important features. Some things were buggy, but over time things improved greatly.
One issue, however, was striking: The power button did not work reliably in some of the versions. It simply did not respond most of the time … leaving me with only the choice of “starting” my device by plugging in the USB-cable and supplying it with some impact in the form of energy. So, along with my Fairphone, I always took along my powerbank.
Then there was the final version 1 – which I installed after having changed the channel.
But now the power button is hardly working at all. The situation has actually deteriorated from “not reliable” to “seldom … very seldom”.
Can anybody confirm that problem with Fairphone 4?
And does anybody have any ideas what to do now? Should I change back to the daily channel?

Well, I switched to “Daily“.
Result: Sometimes the start button worked, sometimes it didn’t do that reliably. 512 was great, didn’t have any trouble … until I unfortunately moved on to later versions.
That being said, I am now at version 547, which grants me an absolutely reliable access to my starting button … and I won’t move on from there until the next OTA-release.
Not everything works out.
VoLTE does work in principle, but if I turn on VoLTE, I am in trouble with sending text. No real problem: 5G does appear to work anyway.
Great improvements with battery consumption. It used to be one day. Now it lasts much longer.
Conclusion: Since nobody else did report anything similar to my problem, I can only assume that either:
Software has improved greatly.
or
There was a hardware issue with my phone … which miraculously vanished.
Well, whatever the truth might be … I am happy at the moment with what I have got.
Three Cheers!

Thanks for the reply.
Hardware issue?
Could be! The strange thing about all this is that there was no constant deterioration. It was more up and downs. One version worked, then one worked unreliably, then one worked, and with version 1, I appear to be almost completely lost.
That's why I was wondering that it might be a good idea to ask here if anybody could confirm a problem - or not confirm it.
Had there already been anyone telling me clearly that their Faiphone 4 actually worked with version 1, I would have contacted the shop that sold that new mobile to me lately.
...
But I am not the only one that has a Fairphone 4 with UT on it, I suppose?
Well, I think I'll wait one or two days more. If nobody replies, I will try another 'daily'-version ... and then report.

Especially given the fact that it is getting worse over time.
