Microsoft did not buy git, they bought github which is not the same thing at all. Github is just one of the many existing "web interface" for git. By the way the Ubports fondation is in partnership with "Gitlab" which is the direct competitor of "Github".

@developerbayman i don't understand the whole "missed the boat" thing. GIT is 20 years old, with other VCS even older. It's just proper software development to use one.

@RandomUser lol im telling you 20 years ago i didnt hear here a word about it in my part of the universe ...then when i did i didnt know what it was ....i never really used it other than github and that was a mistake ...i lived under a rock so there is that
