I'm trying to update the PinePhone port. I managed to build an image based on 24.04, it also boots. I have the desktop and launcher visible, however when I start any applications, it renders only as a black screen. This seems to happen with both Qt and non-Qt applications (I tested with eglgears_wayland). However despite the black screen, the application seems to be there: for example if start lomiri-system-settings and I tap randomly on the black screen, I see in journalctl that things are happening: new processes start, settings change.
If I close the application, the launcher renders once again fine - so it doesn't look that the compositor or anything else would crash.

As a test, I installed sway - in this compositor I can start applications and see them rendered also. This makes me believe that it is not a GPU driver issue, but something possibly with lomiri. I was thinking about bisecting it, but I fell into dependency hell, so for now I put this idea aside...

Do you have idea, what could cause this rendering issue, and what could I try to solve it?
