Maybe we could use the http://coverartarchive.org/ API? Are we using or can we use easily the MBID (https://musicbrainz.org/doc/MusicBrainz_Identifier)?

So as we do not have their service anymore, unfortunately there is no way currently to generate nice thumbnails. Suggestions welcome 😉
