You can try to convert the songs from Spotify by a converter called DumpMedia Spotify Music Converter. You get the songs on your own device and then it's time to import the songs to other devices that you want to use Spotify songs on it.

I'm also interested in using my phone to control Spotify on my Yamaha soundbar. Not sure if CuteSpotify has the ability already, but it's in the public Spotify APIs so it shouldn't be too hard.

As that app is abandoned in fact, maybe another developer might want to fork that project (https://github.com/Elleo/cutespotify/issues). We'll see.
