I tried installing <a href="https://open-store.io/app/com.ubuntu.developer.majster-pl.utorch" rel="nofollow ugc">uTorch</a> from the OpenStore, but it did not work on my Nexus 5.  Is there another torch/flashlight app that will work?  Or a way I can create one?</p>

Also, you can turn the flashlight on via the Battery section in the top menu.</p>
