It basically boots but then somehow keeps crashing the display environment (unity8) - I am afraid we will never get there.</p>

Honestly, just based on the specs it's not much of an improvement over the Nexus 5. Personally, I'm looking at getting the OnePlus 3T- seems like decent specs, more recent, and there's active work being done on porting it to UT.</p>

<p dir="auto">Anyway, I've not heard of anyone having Ubuntu Touch on a Nexus 5X.</p>
