There are only two reasons why andoid phones are until now not COMPLETLY FORBIDDEN in Europe:

Nodoby knowed / cared

Nobody wants general conflicts with the United States

Since Trump is bombing international trade this could fundamentaly change in a very short time. That public authorities do the first step is here a strong sign and will effect at the end all users. Look e.g. to Sailfish - they concentrate on public authorities as examples - that will (slowly) effects all others. The EU does now the first steps.

I could now tell a similar story with IOS and climate change.

And I also bought beginning 2015 this BQ E5 - and after 2 years there where a hole - but now everything is very fine. Tell me what is not working ultrafine (if u talk about WA u should read my lines before again ?)

If I think about how masses of people could be teached which plattforms they should use to avoid all these negative developements

People don't care about all these negative developments. What people care about is a smooth running and easy to use system, with all possibilities.
That's why UBports is not that famous, because of missing apps for their daily routine. Most people don't like to make extra effort if everything is that easy with Android.
Never mind how stable and safe UBports is, it will never be for the people, because they can't use the software they already know, to have an easy life.

I changed using 100% only Ubuntu Touch, when it first came out with the BQ E4.5. But after about 2 years, I changed back to Android, because it makes life so much easier.
But unfortunately, I have to pay for the easy life with my datas.

But I am afraid there are not a lot groups like us who are aware of what that really means.

As I come out of the climate movement (energy - not IT) - and UT is from my perspective a part of it - I know very well and since a long time what problems results when companies have the possibility of influencing masses of people. And this effects not only wired right orientated ones!

If I think about how masses of people could be teached which plattforms they should use to avoid all these negative developements - so this initiative above is one of the best things I ever read.

All services like "Twitter, Facebook, Google" which are companies and for free of use, will make money with your data.
They are all billion dollar companys, just by selling using your data and using your data to make money.
None of the workers there working without receiving a monthly salary just for the good of mankind.
So how can it be, that German public authorities, who are obliged to keep the data confidential, using that services, which are scanning all data and using it for commercial business?

Actually that's strict against the law.
