It seems like the current answer is "no" but you could perhaps ask them to support it.

If they support having the apps be Wayland clients for drawing, then basic things will just work, once UT is fully switched to Wayland. Things like camera, audio, location, file sharaing, etc… will need additional support to work.

when a device gets official support from ubports installer, will it receive 'official' ota updates?

most ported devices requires a manual update atm, I experienced it during this month. Is it possible to make it clearer the way to create flashable zips and possibily let install them via ut itself by instructing twrp ?

have you ever thought of supporting an android series of phones? Let's say galaxy A series, redmi A series, realme branded phones, or whatever? Let's say you focus on redmi A series (4a, 5a, 6a, etc), you have very low cost new devices to 'offer' (below 100$ target price, perfect for developing and exploring) which would still have android dual boot.

It will eventually be possible to install Ubuntu Touch on the PinePhone via the UBports Installer. However, this method will likely perform the same steps as outlined here. Currently, we do not have a PinePhone in the hands of developers interested in the installer. This will change soon.
