<p dir="auto">Occasionally when I start the Nexus 5 its start screen is vertically off set as shown in the attached picture. It only starts like this perhaps one time in six, and is easily rectified by briefly pressing the power button. Any clues why this should happen?<br />

In view of my previous problems installing UT I shall live with the problem for now, but if it becomes intolerable I'll follow your suggestion.</p>

Causes: Deprecated firmware.<br />
Solution: Re-install Android latest OTA / Factory image: <a href="https://developers.google.com/android/ota" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">https://developers.google.com/android/ota</a></p>
<p dir="auto">If you're running Windows 10 you can easily doing it by running "Nexus Toolkit" software: <a href="https://nexusroottoolkit.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">https://nexusroottoolkit.com/</a></p>
<p dir="auto">When done: Enable developer mode + Debug ADB, than turn on bootloader mode and re-install UT through UBports Installer.</p>
<p dir="auto">Screen cropping will be fixed <img src="https://forums.ubports.com/assets/plugins/nodebb-plugin-emoji/emoji/android/1f609.png?v=aee68f5cf05" class="not-responsive emoji emoji-android emoji--wink" style="height:23px;width:auto;vertical-align:middle" title=";-)" alt="😉" /></p>
