<![CDATA[Developers sponsorship: I want to order an app (that means paying for it)!]]>I want to order an app, more precise one that does exactly what Video Downloader app from Ubuntu Desktop 20.04, nothing more, nothing less. The app will be donated to UBports community at the end and I will have no influence on it whatsoever.
I will pay for the app to a developer or a group of them.
I want to know if is doable and if yes, what's the time and money required. PM or post here if interested. The money are not a problem as long as we are speaking on down-to-earth amounts!

pinephone is unable to play the videos that i have downloaded i dont know why.

There's no plugin to use hardware decoding for proprietary/encumbered codecs on the Pinephone, so they won't work currently. I'm also noto sure if the hardware even has decoding/encoding support for such formats. There's also not any easy/reliable way to add additional plugins for software codec support yet.

As far as I'm concerned nothing works yet, because when downloading, what is downloaded in mp4 extension is NOT an mp4 file: file much too small! (Added .txt after .mp4 and read the content of the file with document viewer).
For example, what is downloaded for this link :

For me, seen same thing on Pinephone Dev, BQ E5 HD and OPO OTA-14.

/home/phablet/.local/share/vulgry.johangm90/Downloads/ but the pinephone is unable to play the videos that i have downloaded i dont know why.

youtube-dl has indeed been removed from GitHub. But that shouldn't impact already built instances of any projects that uses it. It is simply the source code that has been made unavailable.
