It will be great if we can run apk files on UT without anbox or any emulator. I mean APK file support on UT. Are there any projects working on it?</p>

<p dir="auto">What you are asking for is Anbox. AFAIK Anbox is not an emulator but a containerized Android userspace running on the same Linux Kernel. That is almost as running it natively.</p>
<p dir="auto">Other than that, there are efforts to port Flutter to desktop Ubuntu.</p>

It is probably the best way to be able to run apk on UT. Unfortunately, you will have to wait a few months before being able to see the results.
