I have a problem with the network indicator on phone's top bar.
In practice, the "nets" section is empty and does not allow me to do anything.
The two triangles of the signal reception are not displayed. Even if the phone can receive and send calls by choosing one of the two operators, Telegram (for example) receives messages but can not send them because it indicates that it is looking for connection. Can I reset the top bar at some point without resetting the phone? I think the problem may be resolved with update R02, but the phone will not update because it asks me to connect to wi-fi and I can't. Even on the Wi-fi tesk, in fact, I only see the previous networks, but I cannot choose which network to connect .....
Thank You.
Gabriele

I know what caused it for me. I used Tweakgeek to delete de External drive app on my Nexus 5 because there is no SD slot on the Nexus 5 and I didn't want to see the icon anymore.

My phone started to overheat and use battery like crazy. I restarted the phone and there was no more network indicator like in your screenshots. Also, for some reason all my unused space started to fill up (with error logs I bet).

I updated from the legacy channel to OTA 1 and it didn't resolve the problem. I flashed the phone to OTA 1 and now it's resolved.

Sometimes that can help because all chips in the phone loose their power and therefore their state.

Otherwise I suggest suggest doing backup with rsync as described in the wiki. After that re-install and restore.
