<![CDATA[F5321 supported for Ubuntu Touch?]]>Hello,

I have a F5321 Sony Xperia X Compact, trying to install Ubuntu Touch with the UBPorts Installer.

As mentioned in this thread, the device is supported.
Sony Xperia X Compact (F5321) i am confused

When i connect the phone, the UBPorts installer mentions that the device is not supported. Additionally i cannot find the device on the supported devices list of ubuntu touch.

I can manally select the device but the UBPorts Recovery Constantly reboots after ~15-20 seconds.

What i did:

  • update to android 8 on my F5321

  • unlock bootloader (i get the message when devices turns on)

  • connect the phone in fastboot mode

  • start ubports installer

  • i tried in windows 10 and ubuntu 20.04

  • i installed also TWRP for F5321 and mounted oem and system partition.

  • then , ubports installer goes through

  • the f5321 is not booting into ubuntu touch

  • it shows a white screen for a while, reboots and hangs in the SONY logo.

So my questinos:

  • is the F5321 supported or not? I am still not sure
  • am i doing anything wrong? any suggestions on what i should change?

I went to the link and read it. But i am not sure about the status. it seems to be too detailed for me.

Is f5321 supported? or in the progress of being supported?
Why is f5321 in the list of the UBports installer?
