I know that apps like launcher modular exist but that doesn't really feel like a solution. Considering UT is Linux I wondered If it would be possible to Install a different desktop environment or at least a deeply integrated launcher. Is this something that is planned for the future or is it not possible for technical reasons? Shouldnt there be something more usual than lomiri?

Android and Roku are Linux, but you can't install GNOME on them either.

Ubuntu Touch is a complete system. If you want to use an environment other than Lomiri, then what you are asking to use, is something other than Ubuntu Touch. You might want to look into postmarketOS, Mobian, or such, which work more like traditional Linux distributions. Ubuntu Touch is not a traditional Linux distribution.

Even then, in long prior discussions its clear that the core team is wanting to make Lomiri more refined, but does not want to make it a copy of iOS or Android. If you wish to see alternative launcher integration for UT created you either need to code it yourself or find someone that is interested in creating a similar vision as what you desire.
