CONNECT Hotspot

1st turn on the WIFI
2nd turn on the Hotspot
normally it doesn't connect the first time and we continue with the procedure,
3rd turn off the Hotspot
4th turn on the Hotspot
normally you see the signal from the phone and can connect perfectly, but it may happen that you detect that it is on but does not connect and every time you put the password the mobile tells you to put it again,
in this case you have to restart the procedure.

5th turn off the Hotspot
6th turn off the Wifi
7th turn on the Wifi
8th turn on the Hotspot
here it usually connects, otherwise repeat the process again.

DISCONNECT Hotspot this is very important if you want to turn off the hotspot to reconnect WIFI, especially on Nexus 5.

1st turn off Hotspot
2nd turn off the Wifi

This method has always worked for me, I hope it helps.

Tested with Nexus 5, Bq U plus, Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and Note 9 Pro.

Regards...

Hi guys
Regards...

Hello, I have the Nexus 5 and have tried your technique, which works once out of (too) many attempts (on an android GPS autoradio, so you can imagine how it is important to not be lost).

This is a real pain to make it work on this android device, while for Linux devices, it "just" works without any technique.

I have tried to use my GPS directly from the Nexus 5 with Pure Maps... no GPS fix...

Anyway, I would be so happy that this bug would be fixed once for all.

That's why it's very important how to disconnect it, if you want to have wifi later, you will find that the wifi will work fine without having to reboot the phone.
I just installed Ut on my Xiaomi note 7 and the hotspot works too.
Regards...

For the BQ and the VOLLA, the hotspot works very well and not need to be Einstein to share the Internet with it ! The hotspot is a horror on the Nexus 5 and USB tethering is recommended for it. On the other hand, the Volla (Halium 9) and the BQ have no connection problems so far with the hotspot.
USB tethering is a useful and reliable solution to share the internet (SYSTEM / ADB PARAMETERS /activate RNDIS in UTTT), but it does not work on the Halium 9 devices so far: a weak point.
