Hi,
I finally solved the issues on full-OTA-updates (not incremental), which also make it possible to use the UBports-Installer now.

<<< 2021-09-22: The device is now officially available in the installer, so just get the installer and install it 🙂 >>>



If you don't want to loose your data, make sure you let the wipe option unchecked!

<<< 2021-08-31: The installer config got updated to Halium 10 only, for both FP3 and FP3+ >>>

To test the installer config, I would like you to download this file:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ubports/installer-configs/7dd7c3c775f91537a5abcc54e9faf612d5d8741b/v2/devices/FP3.yml

Then you need to start the installer as follows:

# ubports-installer -f FP3.yml

I would be interested in:

  • did it work for you?
  • which os and version was installed before using the installer?
  • if Android was installed before, did Ubuntu Touch start without wipe?
  • everything else

Yes you can use clickable with the USB cable.
Or if SSH is available on your phone, clickable also can use it.

Or you can push the *.click file to your phone with:

  • SCP if SSH is enabled
  • MTP to copy into one of the standard folders (Download, Documents, Pictures or Music)
  • ADB if you update to RC or devel as per Luksus' post

I wasn' t aware this was an option option. I wouldnt know where to put the files, and which files exactly(.click?). Maybe I the the update, via clickable/usb is most conevenient for me

Have you tried to enable SSH to your phone ?

That's the way I prefer, it's fast and reliable.
Not sure though if it works on the FP3

Would you mind to help me out again? I want to bring a qml app onto the FP3. Since adb does not work yet, is openstore the only 'workaround' ( I dont consider this publishable..)

After sim card/phone call fail I was reluctant to update the phone anymore. Is it working well for you? Then I would try to update and check ig the error disappeared.

I also experienced this behavior, but not always. Currently it does not appear. I have installed the OTA from 3 days ago.
Please Check, if an update to the latest OTA does fix it for you.

When taking a call the screen starts going into screen lock and back to unlocked, flickering with 1Hz frequency. It stops only ca. After 1 minute after the call ended. How can I file this bug?

Then please try it with the FP3 twrp recovery.
There you should be able to wipe the cache only.

And boot it:
