The problem I have found with all of them, I thought I was unlucky, but all that I have acquired have an unlockable boot loader. There is no work round for this and obviously you need an unlocked bootloader to install Ubuntu touch (or any ROM) . I know others have managed, but the phones must have had an unlocked bootloader. If you type in ##7378423## and go into the Service info>Configuration status>rooting and It states Bootloader Unlock allowed no, that's it, you cannot unlock the bootloader. If you proceed without unlocking the bootloader your Sony device is bricked. Very annoying. I would like to try on a Sony device as they have really good screens, but hey-ho, no luck with them so far. to Sony.
Edit, for some reason I cannot answer to the response post, but thank you for putting it in the correct place. The devices, so far are F5321, F8331 and F5121. I have more than one and annoyingly see the cannot unlock bootloader issue, unless I am told otherwise as I don't want to brick the phones.

I have also moved this to the Sony section.
