Make sure you are downloading the device version.

Download the stock version from the link provided by the) installer program.

That's version 9 of Android.

Leave the phone in fastboot mode, go to the folder where you have the recovery download and enter "fastboot boot twrp.img" in a terminal.

Once the recovery starts, delete everything, go to the advanced options and you will see that there is a sideload option.

Then once started, with the Zip file of the stock version of Android you write in the terminal "adb sideload stock.zip" (stock.zip is the example of the name.)

Just in case, do the process on both slots.

Once finished, you can start the phone normally and update it as you normally would

Fortunately I don't use those apps so I don't really care about the Widevine L1/L3 stuff or any banking crap that's not supposed to be on anyone's phone anyway! 😉

But you should really be VERY carefull with relocking any phone!

  • Some don't like it all!
  • Some will be hardbricked if the software/firmware/etc. on the phone differs even slightly from what is was shipped with!

A lot of people made that mistake already and regret it ever since! 😉

Don't remember exactly the name of the scripts, but it should be obvious by looking at the content of the script as it would be the last couple of commands in the scripts that does the locking. Should be safe to lock though (it is the stock rom after all). I locked mine when I did the same some time ago, before trying UT, didn't have any issue with locking. If you're using android you probably want it locked anyways or some apps will refuse to run.

Watch out with that script : Under Windows and the Mi Flash Tool it locks the Bootloader and in general you should not lock the Bootloader after unlocking it! 😉

I assume that you use linux and you have fastboot installed.
Put your phone in fastboot mode (power + vol down)
Enter inside the extracted directory and execute this:

sudo sh flash_all.sh
