<![CDATA[Waydroid on OnePlus 5T]]>Hi there, I'm new to Ubuntu Touch but got my hands on a spare OnePlus 5T device and would like to see whether I can at some point switch to this device for daily use with UT. Of course I will need access to some Android apps for this to work in practice so I wanted to install Waydroid as well, which failed for me, some packages seem to be missing.
Before sinking (too) much time in to this, I wanted to ask here first:

  • Is anyone using Waydroid on this device?
  • If so, what are the required steps for making it work or a direction to explore for trying to make it work?
  • Or, are there some issues with this and you would discourage me from trying to run Waydroid with this device?

  • The future development of Ubuntu Touch for the OnePlus 5T ?!

I am considering the phone as my next daily Ubuntu Touch phone! 😉

Best what you could do would be ask Florian, if he has done this patches..
