It seems its closer now than ever as it instantly detects my phone and prompts to start the install but as in the past the installer gets stuck on "flashing firmware" and the phone stays on "fastboot mode" showing on screen. I've given it about an hour so far, where should I start for troubleshooting?

If that fails try another USB port, if USB 3.0, try USB 2.0. I also install Android Studio which gives me the latest ADB and Fastboot drivers.

I have a weird issue, the ubports installer detects my opo but when I run "fastboot devices" in powershell with the opo connected in fastboot mode nothing is returned

I double checked that I have the universaladb drivers installed as well

If that has been done reinstall the latest Android - cm-13.1.2-ZNH2KAS3P0-bacon-signed-fastboot. Once you have done that make sure developer options is enabled and USB debugging is checked.

The OPO is one of the easiest devices to install UT on as very little goes wrong.
