I say "almost" because sometimes, i don't have network at all when i boot my phone, but this is another story.

So, are you using the devel channel and are the issues maybe solved by updating meanwhile?

I also encountered similar issues a weak ago in devel, but after another update, it was working again.

I had almost the same problem on the latest development channel update. Mobile Internet did not work. Also the L-symbol was shown in the pull-down menu but not in the top bar unless waydroid was running. Then it was shown in the top bar too but didn't work either. I never had any problems with connectivity before in the last 5 months of daily use. Great work on the port btw! Thank you!

I haven't thought of trying to switch to <= 3G, however I've also been in a area with poor signal for a while where I had 3G in the network indicator area (if opened) but the indicator in the panel itself was still empty. And when there is no 2G/3G/L right in the panel then no data flows (as "link is not ready").

Nonetheless, it might be just some current devel glitch in my case (I hope) as it works just fine on rc and stable.

where are you located and what is your SIM provider?
Have you already tried to adjust APN settings manually? (System Settings, Connection Settings)

For me for example, I needed to disable the "internet"-APN checkbox, to get a stable "L"-connection.
On my first SIM-card though, it worked without doing nothing.
