With the roll out of a new backend for contacts and addressbook data we faced some regressions that led us to the decision to revert the entire feature for now.
As many of you may have already updated your devices to the latest devel or RC image you will now have to deal with the following issue:
The new feature involved a database migration, copying all old contacts to a new database. Contacts added/modified/deleted after Sep 28 2022 will now be reset or be missing and the contacts backend will again use the old database.
To avoid this please export all contacts before you install the latest devel or RC.
In case you forget to do so there is a potential SQL query that can help with that. We will publish this in the thread below.
