I got the same trouble with mi a2. First let inside one sim and reboot.

J'ai eu le même probleme. Je n'ai laissé qu'une seule carte sim et j'ai redemarré. J'ai eu internet de suite, mais les mms,ça a été plus long...j'ai rechargé plusieurs fois les mms avant de pouvoir les telecharger et sur une periode de 48h

I am on 16.04 with one of mine and it works fine, likewise I am running 20.04 on the other which is also working well. Are you on 16.04 or 20.04? Check your settings from your mobile operator as well.
