Looking at the sources there has been some work done for Focal already: https://gitlab.com/ubports/porting/community-ports/android10/xiaomi-redmi-note-9-pro
I think @nitanmarcel has even been able to run Focal when testing a few months ago, but unfortunately that's where it ends for now.
