<p dir="auto">I recently saw a notification from the "Waydroid Updater" to install a new image inside of waydroid itself. Can this be done from within waydroid or should I update the image from outside directly? And do I need to set r/w flags for the filesystem before attempting the upate?</p>

Your date is lower so it is behind. On the other hand, the date off the security update is the same. It looks like the updater does not work? It can not recognise the date of the latest installed update. So that is why is shows 'unknown'?</p>
<p dir="auto">You could try updating your way with sudo waydroid upgrade and see if the date of the last installed version changes to mine</p>

<p dir="auto">Then you should be able to see the installed version with date. Mine is showing 18.1-20231027- VANILLA-waydroid_arm64</p>
<p dir="auto">There is also a line that shows the Android-security updates with the date 6 october.</p>

What I did was from ubports terminal: <code>sudo waydroid upgrade</code>. Now, inside waydroid, in Settings -&gt; System -&gt; Waydroid Updater I see System Image: Unknown, Vendor Image: Unknown. But the Waydroid Updater menu entry in Settings -&gt; System says underneath "Updated to Android 11" - so I guess I updated it... But I don't know why it says "Unknown"...</p>
