I also use it for my workplace connections. Would be nice to have that on my tablet also.

Fortigate is compatible with IPSec (and not compatible with OpenVPN SSL client).
If it is not already available, may be you can ask your administrators to configure an IPSec VPN and then you can use sudo vpnc on your UT device to establish a connexion.

Can you get the details what protocol they are using?

The Ubports GUI supports only OpenVPN at the moment. Via terminal you can connect to VPN Protocol IPSec.
