<![CDATA[Nexus 5X Development]]>I'm just wondering how the development for the Nexus 5X is going. I see on the UBports website that it's under development but I don't see anything saying how close it is to being usable. I would really prefer to get the 5X but if there's no installable/usable version, I'll just go with the Nexus 5.

I haven't done any serious development but would love to see Ubuntu Touch development continue with newer devices and the 5x seems to be an affordable well spec'ed option - though it does have a history of hardware failures 😛

Any ideas on how to spur development on this vein? Are there any good bounty platforms that could be used?

According to a glimpse of screen I saw today 😉

As the great Florian Leeber once said, "Porting is a strange sadism"

For one, I don't think any ETA on any port to any device will ever hold true. So many things come up during development that it's just not going to stay around.

Right now, the problem that I'm having with the 5X is that it just won't run software correctly. I can only get a maximum of one SSH session connected, and that's only if I disable every service. If it boots normally, I can't even connect to SSH. I'm completely at a loss as to what could be happening.
