It bootloops when the power cable is attached and the power and volume buttons are completely unresponsive.. I ran it through the Lenovo Rescue tool and thought it had recovered, but alas, not. It has gone back to bootlooping.

I have a brand new battery and it charged to 100% fine on that tablet. I thought a weak battery may be the cause.

The next step is possibly the power button... So before I go buying or cannibalising another X605 for the power/volume buttons ribbon, does any one know the pins to short on the mainboard to power up (easy on the OPO ) and has anyone experienced this before? (Searching digs up little info on this).

I was hoping to recover it and get UT installed! I managed to short the EDL contacts while switching an EDL cable attached to a pc with the Lenovo rescue. It took many, many attempts before it recovered. Then it bootlooped again. New battery (OEM) didn't resolve it. I am hoping the power button flex cable is the issue and not the main board!
