Updating Dekko2 to the latest version
-
@guru Try OTA6-7?
-
I filed (and posted here) in October 2018 this issue:
RE: Dekko2 Developer Community Thread
https://gitlab.com/dekkan/dekko/issues/21What is the diff to this place:
https://gitlab.com/dekkoproject/dekkoWhich one is correct? And if the later, why the others did not have moved, or should I re-file it?
-
Do have the community edition or the original one?
The original is the recommended one now since the original developer is back although your data will actually work on both versions. -
0.1.8-21b84 from OpenStore
Where should I file issues for this version? -

-
@guru Just follow the posted thread instructions. Shut dekko2 then uninstall it. Then install the version of dekko2 that is currently available in the Openstore. Thats it, all your stuff is kept and your on the latest version in the correct name space for the future.
Very briefly the "community ” version is shorthand for the one without Dan Chapman's involvement. -
@guru I address and tell you all the story of dekko, dekko2 and dekko2 Community Edition in this post https://forums.ubports.com/topic/2320/dekko-decko2-a-sad-story/16
Did you read it ?Now that "usual" development of dekko2 lead by Dan Chapman is back, you can fill issue about it here : https://gitlab.com/dekkoproject/dekko

... but this did not explained to me which gilab.com place is now the correct one.
Thanks

https://gitlab.com/dekkoproject/dekko is the place where you should file issues now if you want to.
-
Thanks. And issues filed in the other one months ago, will they be considered or ignored?

Do you mean under dekkan? I think they will need to be migrated over. You might need to do this manually, as I don't think there's an automatic way to do it.

I filed two issues there:
https://gitlab.com/dekkoproject/dekko/issues/134
https://gitlab.com/dekkoproject/dekko/issues/135In the past there was a common thread for Dekko2 development, perhaps for the community development, which ends on December 7:
https://forums.ubports.com/topic/1477/dekko2-developer-community-thread/106Is this continued somewhere else for the new Dekko2 development?
-
@guru I would for now carry on with that thread as only the name space has changed for the app. Development carries on the same. Lets keep it all together for now.
