How to introduce new keyboard language?

Hi,
I would like to contribute Lithuanian (my native language) keyboard layout, don't know how's that done.
Is there a tutorial/notes on developing keyboard language?
Also, how could I test it without potentially breaking my daily driver Aquaris E5 phone?

P.S. I have C++, QML experience, just don't know where to start...

Hi! I don't think there are any tutorials out there, but the source for all the different calendar layouts are here: https://github.com/ubports/keyboard-component
They are basically collections of qml files, but that's about the extent of my knowledge. -
