Android 9 officially available for FP2 - New system.img !

There are news on the Android 9 front for FP2 : it is officially available, and the upgrades will run until April the 18th. You can read more on this here. According to what I could read, that doesn't mean new modem files will be released, but "only the proprietary blobs". Aren't modem files proprietary blobs too ?
Anyway, I think I'll stay tuned and flash the system when the FP Open OS version will be released (currently only Fairphone OS with GMS is released), and reinstall UT on top of it, but some on Fairphone forum say there are stability problems. What do you think ?
