Backing up

When I installed UT on my Nexus 6p i did so without the twrp. Is there a way to back it up in case I run into any issues or can I install twrp now?

@ubguy the problem is that we need our custom recovery to install updates. So thats a bit of a bad situation now. I will work out smth for you...

That would be nice to keep the default settings or what you customize it too. I currently just copy my files from my phone to my laptop
