I flashed an old Xperia X Compact with a fresh OTA 16. The original battery (old, I know) has to be charged in the evening after a day of idling. For a 2700 mAh battery, that's disappointing. Is it worth buying a new battery and what runtime can I expect? Does anyone have any experience?

What should I say, it's a phone! Video works very well with the front and rear cameras. I like this phone because it's small and OTA 16 runs on it with no problems. I haven't tested all functions yet.

But I already have one negative point: the battery is difficult to replace.

@4carlos I have flashed an Xperia X Compact too, but i don't use it as my daily driver. And the battery was bad, it only lasted one and a half day or so... I replaced it with a new one, - which was quite a test of patience - but its not that much better. As I said, I don't use it very much, so I can't say how long the battery is lasting, when its used.

@messayisto Hmm, that doesn't sound good. For me it is 10-15% per hour when it is idle. Nevertheless, thanks for the information. I have now discovered a second problem. The device is SIM lock free and only accepts one of 3 new SIM cards. The other two are not detected?!. That is hard.

No I'm sorry. I had no problems.

@4carlos I just figured it out, i had to install android 6.0. That was the hardest part, you have to go to sonys website, download their binaries, extract it download their kugo 6.0 zip extract it
follow steps and fastboot flash each img
one tip is fastboot flash doesnt work try fastboot flash:raw

@unrealb2 I took a similar way for testing purposes via TWRP and flashed LOS 16 (Droid 9) onto the X Compact. What can I say, the same device with the same battery only consumes 1.2-1.5% per hour and thus like my Nexus 5. UT seems to have a problem with the Xperia? Factor 10 per hour in consumption, that is useless. I will try OTA 17 again. If that also has this high consumption, it will stay at LOS 16.👎

@4carlos Interesting, my Xperia x Compact, has the same battery life as my nexus 5. I do know lineageOS has really good battery management, which I could get that on UT 😛
but overall id say UT is the same battery life as a regular android or ios so its normal for me. LineageOS would really extend the battery to a couple days, not sure how they do it. They also have nothing really on that operating system
