      How do you enter developer mode? i cant find it anywhere

        @jetblack the Pinephone doesn't have adb (it uses main Linux kernel).

        You can access it typing in a Pinephone terminal:
        sudo start ssh

        You'll need to copy your ssh public key in
        ~/.ssh/authorized_keys

        that's the difficult bit. I had to use my nextCloud instance and download it from the browser. But I think a fix for the File Manager is in the way

            ....so after further digging and experimenting by pressing the power button and volume up button at the same time will put it in some mode that allows me to access the whole phone and edit files. Thats exactly what i was looking for.

            phone has to be off.
            hold the two buttons till the green lights pops on.
            let go, it should now say "awaiting command"
