Issues with UT on pixel 3a BT, auto brightness
-
Hello
I have moved over to using UT on a pixel 3a as my main phone. I have come across a few issues.
The automatic brightness does not work at all. You can enable or disable it from the menu but nothing. You can manually adjust it fine but it won't automatically adjust itself. In terms of Bluetooth, I have across some items that don't want to connect. A Bose speaker I have will connect but drop off and the bose speaker dosen't akowledge the connection at all. Generally you connect a new device and the speaker will state it has a new device connected and say its name. -

I am also just moving to the Pixel 3a after about a year and a half with a Nexus 5 on UB Ports. I can confirm that automatic brightness does not appear to work on my phone. -
@hentaixp Also can confirm.

Hi, could i ask if any of you have screen rotation working? I just found that flashing android 9 stops all my sensors working ( auto-brightness, fingerprint, accelerometer... )
-
@irnbru I have all you mentioned working on my pixel 3a, included rotation.
-
@matteo are you saying you have auto-brightness working?
-
@rik sorry, I double checked autobrightness and I stand corrected: even for me isn't working.
-
@matteo it is working now for me on devel channel. I think it was fixed just in the past week. I still would prefer it go "dimmer" but it does auto-change at least.
-
@rik yes, I know. This was fixed among other issues by the wonderful work Alfred, the maintainer, is doing with this device. Autobrightness works but with some quirks. Other quirks are related to calls, for instance the loud speaker call works but the interlocutor can't hear me because of the noise in the background (I opened a bug report on Github). Cheers. Matteo
