So I have tried all flavors of Linux mobile. Ubuntu touch number 1 by far. Development is far leapbyears ahead of the rest. If any one has any issues with bricked devices i have several links i send to you to help in unbricking. UBports keep up the great work.

Avoiding a brick would be even better 🙂 So, how did you succeed with this installation? I am asking because it could be the first installation on the McLaren Edition, which differs from normal 6T (RAM).

@sven Your comment seems to suggest that others on OP6T are facing issues with installation. In my case installation on OP 6T McLaren was smoother than the installation on OP3T where I had to manually change the filesystem type to ext4. In McLaren the installation (dev channel) was very smooth without any issues.

@sven i didnt mean to make it seem as though i was having issues otherwise. Default install options is what workwd here. Pretty flawless.

Thanks for clarifying and good to hear that it worked. Which file did you use for downgrading to Android 9?

@sven i used the flash-all.sh script provided in the forums by a user that made it all work well. I will have to go find it....

@epruitt373 You probably mean the script mentioned here: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/5715/restore-bricked-oneplus-6t-on-linux
                    Did you modify both slots?
