Installer issues on 4X

I have tried to use Ubports installer and with no luck it does not seem to work.

Not my first Ubuntu phone, so not new to the process.

Steps,

Installer finds the phone automatically, starts the install,
Installer states it will reboot phone,
No reboot, stuck on "Fast Boot" menu..
When reboot manually, all i get is the Mi logo and ubuntu touch on the bottom, but nothing more.

It seems the initial install does not provide anything.

I can restore the phone by loading TWRP from FastBoot again and load any ROM,

Hope someone has some insight into this phone... my Pixel 3a was not as hard..

@siucdude Hi, that seems to be a issue on some devices. I have made a bug report here: https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues/1695

Hi there,
I have this problem while installing UT from a Debian system.
Not sure if I'm stubborn or that I went to bed and wait until the next day, but the fact is that while the phone was on the Recovery I run again the installer and things went smoothly.
