app updates failing

I am running build 2020-09-08. I installed it a couple weeks ago and I thought I'd installed some updates successfully. I can still update apps in the Open Store but whenever I try to update apps from Settings, I get the message
Update failed ProcessError: 0 - ErrInProcess Exit code: 7 Stdout: Stderr:Is this a known bug and will a fix be available at some point?

@andrew907 updating apps from settings is deprecated, and will probably be removed in future.
The idea is to make a clean difference in that apps would be updated via the Open Store and the OS via settings.
