Ubuntu Touch aims to be an OS for the regular user with reliable functionality. It achieves that in large part thanks to to read-only root filesystem and atomic updates.

But what different options do those who like to experiment have one Ubuntu Touch? Or is it simply not an OS for tinkerers?

Congratulations on the release of OTA-5!

One feature that a few users have noticed missing on their Pixel 3a / 3a XL is double-tap-to-wake. Not a feature that I use myself, but important to others. So removal must have been decided on for compelling reasons.

Can you shed some light on why the feature was removed for these devices?
