Adding a feature list for Focal/Noble for the Redmi Note 7 (Lavender) (help wanted)

Re: Why is this device not in the devices list for Focal?
https://gitlab.com/ubports/infrastructure/devices.ubuntu-touch.io/-/merge_requests/623
So, it turns out that the Redmi Note 7 has had a Focal channel for quite a while but it isn't on devices.ubuntu-touch.io
I've made a merge request (see above) to make an initial feature list which I think is all you need to add a focal channel to it? But I know nothing of how this works so if there are other things I need to do, feel free to tell me. Or I might realise trying to read scattered docs.In addition, many features still need testing, namely:I've tested all the features I can, these are the ones that I can't test:
* Dual sim
* Sim pin unlock
* 24 hours battery life
* 7 days stability
* Video Acceleration
* Apparmor Patches (I'm not even sure what they are)- Wireless External Monitor
* NFC
* GPS
* Wired External MonitorAny help, including advice on how to test a feature, and an explanation of exactly what stupid things I'm certainly doing somewhere, is much appreciated!
Update: Also adding a feature list for Noble. My provider doesn't have mms so I also can't test that.
Features I can't test:- Wireless External Monitor (don't have one)
- NFC (don't have nfc tags)
- MMS (mobile provider doesn't have mms)
- Wireless External Monitor
-
Aaand it already failed the 7+ days stability test
-
GPS works

@Caedem These are things I don't tend to use on a device apart from battery life which I generally got around 3 days out of one charge (same with anew battery v older battery). Apparmor as far as I am aware is part of the system and should be patched as per OTA (please correct me if I am wrong).

I found "Check if keyboard vibration works. This is a good indication that AppArmor has been successfully applied."
Since keyboard vibration works I'm going to assume AppArmor is in place
-
Sim pin works (had to lock my sim again to check)
-
Dual sim wonky, second sim refuses to connect above 2g
-
Display out is nonfunctional
-
Video acceleration: played a video for 15 mins and it warmed up, but not what I'd call hot. I'd like opinions on whether I should mark that as working or not, or better yet a more reliable way to check
-
Ok so: wireless external monitor and NFC I can't test. Aside from those two, the only thing I haven't tested is 24 hours battery life but I need to test that again with less intensive usage so that'll take a while. I tested hardware acceleration and got moderately warm, like 40-45ish degrees judging by feel after 15 mins so nothing conclusive there, and I don't have a direct method to clearly indicate if there is hardware acceleration or not: so I'm leaving that as untested.
TL;DR: Still need to test 24 hours battery life, can't test the rest. I've marked the MR as ready.

A list of things that don't work:
- notification led
- torch
- video
- mms
- stability
- bluetooth
- wired external monitor
-
Hardware acceleration is a no
-
We have 24 hours battery life!

-
Update: also adding a feature list for Noble, 7+ days stability ended up working (must've gotten unlucky), and changed mms to ? cos it seems I don't have mms from my provider
-
I'm stupid, the phone hardware doesn't support NFC
-
Camera flashlight seems to work on Noble, interesting, but the torch itself doesn't

This was merged! Woo! https://gitlab.com/ubports/infrastructure/devices.ubuntu-touch.io/-/merge_requests/623

@Caedem perhaps a bit late. But I installed the focal branch and tested a few things, mainly the wireless display using AnyCast device and it works bit of lagging here and there can't determine my device is too damaged. Waydroid also works pretty well.
I can't test the sim or the fingerprint. And the device charging board was fried if I replaced it I won't mind testing or help port features I can test.
Pretty happy to see this device alive again thanks buddy. -
