        When rebooting waydroid after switching batteries it hangs on the waydroid icon ad infinitum. This is on a new GIGASET GS5 with Ubuntu Touch installed via UBPORTS as VOLLAPHONE 22.

        I can uninstall and reinstall waydroid with no loss of data and it solves the problem. Hoping there is a less time and data consuming solution.....

          Yesterday the same problem appeared on my Fairphone 3.
          The log just tells me that the session is starting, and that the /dev/anbox-binder has appeared, nothing else.
          Any precautions needed for the reinstallation? I would hate to loose my data within the waydroid container.

          EDIT: removing and reinstalling did not change it - waydroid still hangs at the start.😕

            @hankschwie sorry mate, just seen your post.

            My problem still persists. I use waydroid helper and uninstall waydroid without wiping data. I then reinstall which goes through two processes;

            1. Download system image
            2. Download vendor image

            If the download starts but is only doing a rate of say 78 kbs I cancel and start the process again. The same is true of the vendor download.

            Once installed it should be in the state you left it. as long as you don't restart the phone, waydroid will always reboot. But the minute you cut the power, this ends the session for real and we're back where we started.

            As you can see, noone responded to my post so I have no clue how to fix it.

            I would think its a case of 'writing out' the problem in the text editor 'reboot' bit. Until someone comes to my rescue this will continue....

              Are you using UBUNTU 24.04? I keep updating every couple of days hoping it will solve the problem....eventually.
