UBports installer always gets stuck on downloading and verifying
-
Hello, it's my first time on this forum, so apologies if I miss something out!
I've downgraded my Pixel 3a (sargo) to the requested Pie build, but the UBports installer doesn't seem to be working. I tick both boxes (forget what they're labelled as) and the installation proceeds up until I boot into recovery, at which point it gets stuck on 11 out of 12 files downloaded and verified.
It does just sit there for hours. I've tried restarting the installation procedure, as others have said that fixes the issue, but it just happens again. My host computer is running Fedora Silverblue, although I've tried the same procedure on my Windows 10 laptop with the same results.
I personally prefer to manually flash the device through fastboot, which I imagine would be simpler in comparison to trying to figure out the installer. Telegram isn't working for me, so I can't access the help channels there.
If anyone has any advice, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you

@allegedlyacat Hi, had this issue the other day. The workaround is to use a VPN and it should work. This has happened now a few times in the past and connecting through my VPN always resolves the issue.

@MrT10001 I genuinely cannot believe that fixed it, thank you! It cruised through the process this time, and UT is now installed
