SIM Toolkit Support
-
I am wondering if there has been or will be any effort to implement SIM Toolkit support in Ubuntu Touch. For reference, this is SIM Toolkit. It's a way to program the SIM to act as an application of sorts. Some carriers use it for certain actions, and some institutions use it as well. Notably, in Iceland, for basically everything that conceivably requires a login (even to buy stuff from the electronics store).
Sailfish OS supports it, and they use Ofono. I'm not sure if their SIM Toolkit implementation is open, or where exactly it is in the software stack. But I am curious if any of the core UT developers know about this or have heard of it.
