OTA-22 RC Testing: Microphone, Audio, and Browser Input Checks

Re: OTA-22 Call for Testing Companion Post
Hello everyone,
While testing the Ubuntu Touch OTA-22 release candidate, I think it would be useful to pay special attention to basic audio and microphone behavior. These small things can easily be missed during testing, but they affect daily usage a lot, especially for calls, browser apps, voice messages, meetings, and recording.
Before reporting an app-specific issue, I suggest testing the microphone in a simple way first. Check whether the device detects input properly, whether permission prompts appear correctly, and whether the input level responds when speaking. A quick browser-based test such as https://www.gomictest.com/ can help confirm whether the microphone is working at the browser level before comparing it with other apps.
Some useful things to test:
Microphone input in browser-based tools
Audio output through speaker and headphones
Bluetooth headset behavior
Permission prompts for microphone access
Call audio quality
Any difference compared to OTA-21This can help separate general audio regressions from individual app bugs. If the microphone works in one place but fails in another, the bug report becomes much clearer and easier for developers to investigate.
Hopefully this helps testers catch any important audio-related issues before the final OTA-22 release.
