Ethernet + WiFi

Hello big brain people! Im new here searching for answers about my tablet device Im building. The situation or better say problem is I need to have access to internet, while an ethernet device is connected to my tablet. Internet from wifi/bluetooth/LTE is automatically cut off when the usbA device is connected, acting as an ethernet device. This seems to be a problem with the "USB controlled by" always staying at "Connected device". Or is it a driver issue? I can talk to the device via an app easy, but I just need internet.
Any advice appreciated. Im also very shocked that very few people know about the specifics of Android connection routing and its interaction with physical usb ports.
